Resound: Issue 1
Resound is a full sized, glossy cover, color newsprint magazine that not only
functions as Release/Relapse Records promotional engine but is also a darn
nifty music catalog. Of course, not all of the bands on this label are what one
would consider industrial, so there are a large number of articles on hard
core, metal, progressive, & jazz bands along side the noise and electronic
artists. This debut issue contains some pretty good interviews with Trial of
Bow, Null, The Cranes, Brighter Death Now, Flux, and the state of noise bands
in America. Obviously this magazine is designed to be the propaganda arm of the
record label so most of the music coverage focus on band actually on the
label. Regardless, not a band magazine for covering such a diverse musical
selection and a rather inclusive catalog of albums, video, magazines, posters,
t-shirts, and other miscellaneous items.
