Resonance: Issue 8
Resonance continues to spew forth it's own definition of the electronica scene
in Seattle as it has for the past 18 months. This time they have increased all
of their regular sections and focused a little more on the local scene. They
even have a interview with Aiden Hughes, better known as BRUTE!, and his recent
gallery exhibit in Seattle. Overall a very concise, opinionated issue about the
state of the industry but with a single exception. The cover article deals with
the impending failure of the music industry and it quotes none other than
Seattle native, Sascha of KMFDM. He is quoted as saying, "The record industry
is definitely discouraging creativity, because you're just expected to go out
and copy what's popular simply to sell more records." Could they have picked a
bigger hypocrite to quote?
