The sheer volume of music produced by Kevin O'Connor of Tinty Music in the past
few months is nothing short of epochal coupled with the fact that while most
ambient experimental artists tend to fall into a musical rut, the music has
instead moved towards more expanded horizons and construction techniques. Much
of the core music still remains focused on texturing found ambient sound across
a extended duration while still maintaining a finite degree of resemblance to
the original sample. A prime example would the use of doppler effect style
alterations of jet engine exhaust wash subtlely altered to remove the harshest
elements and blended with other atmospheric signals to create a pleasant
intermingling of natural ambient noise. Tinty Music still remains one of
the most innovative self released experimental projects of the past few years.
