Something just doesn't click on this release and I'm not exactly sure what it
is that causes this cassette to fall flat on it's face. It's almost as if the
artist is trying too hard to combine all of the elements of popular guitar
crossover industrial and has ended up sacrificing his own artistical
credibility for the sake of accessibility. The music is attempting to be both a
complex arrangement of electronics, vocal work and guitars and at the same time
snare the audience with it's pop sensibility. It is painfully obvious that
Tempestuous All needs to try and find it's own niche rather than incessantly
borrow from others to gain it's musical appeal. A little appropriation is fine,
but when you try and do everything at once, it ends up sounding cluttered and
overproduced. I suggest going back to the basics and starting over with a more
minimalistic approach instead of bombarding us with everything at once
otherwise Tempestuous All will simply be overlooked as yet another clone band.
