Spahn Ranch has taken the road paved by many industrial related artists lately
and moved their music towards a more accessible audience without compromising
one little bit on the sound quality or musical value. The obvious comparisons
to Executive Slacks are apparent but seeing as the lead singer used to be in
that band previously it is hard to avoid such a similarity. The vocals are clear
and undistorted, the lyrics while not very pop oriented are very catchy and the
pop style chorus line is used with a great deal of effectiveness. Not having
heard more than a compilation track by Spahn Ranch previously it is difficult
to make a distinction between this and previous albums but I do feel that this
is a solid and complete work with each track fitting together tightly into
the finished puzzle of the album.
