Luxt is a refreshing look at a female industrial vocalist that doesn't feel the
need to sing with a wafting, soul wrenching voice. Instead she is just as
content to sing with an vehemently angry voice and perform multiple duets with
her male counterpart. The music is mostly in the vein of a cross over
industrial guitar style, with more focus on the electronics, programming and
percussion than on the guitar. When performing live, Luxt is the only group
that I have seen that has been able to keep their guitar from washing out the
vocalists and electronics, which is immensely impressive. The album itself is
hand pressed on a CD burner and labeled by hand which tends to denote a very
low budget band which isn't at all evident from the quality of their music. In
fact, they could probably do very well on some of the larger underground labels
if they chose to move in that direction.
Luxt is:
Anna Christine - keyboards, bass, samplers, vocal
E Loch - keyboard, guitar, sampler, vocals
