Female solo electronic artists seem to be popping up all over the place these
days. Perhaps it due to the sudden rise of women in Pop music or the success of
such compilations as Diva X Machina. It is about
time that the fair sex tried its hand at a predominantly male genre of music.
The programming and mixing on this demo are obviously less than perfect, but as
the press material states, I am apparently the first publication receiving
this release and apart from the technical recording issues, it shows a
great deal of promise. The samples and patches
avoid cliche while utilizing only a minimal amount of equipment and the vocals
are not the usual array of self-pity and whining you find written by angstful
males. The two standout tracks are 'Authority Rush' and 'The Third Hypocrisy'
both of which use more complex percussion elements. I do, however, have a few
suggestions for Infrastructure. Consider using a regular bassline and
invest in a good sampler and studio software. These three items ought to
increase the overall quality of the music from sounding like it was written in
a bedroom studio to something a bit more professional.
