Although this is being reviewed a little late for the holiday season, "An Industrial Christmas Carol", is not something to be missed by fans of the notorious Invisible Records noise making crew. Guests of all shapes and sizes and from just about every band on the Invisible roster make a guest appearance on this album that explores a rather farcical look at what most people consider to be a holy holiday. Overall this record can be best summed up by the following sample that appears on 'The Spirit of Christmas', "...age old hatred never takes a holiday..." That sample alone dictates the mood of the entire album. Musically the album is a collection of noise, percussion, chanting, and synthesizers which sounds more like a live jam than a studio recording. The casual listener might even accuse it of being pure noise, but it has more in common with a Crash Worship style orgy than with the raw feedback of white noise. Obviously, the self proclaimed "Chicago Industrial League", doesn't feel that Christmas is the same holiday that everyone takes for granted.
