Frontrunner: Demo

Frontrunner is a relatively new Brazilian Electro act, just starting to
makes itself known in the Americas. Not content with just securing
compilations slot, as they have on a forthcoming DSBP release, Frontrunner are
searching for an elusive record deal. However, it doesn't take more than a few
moments to realize that the music needs a bit of polishing before that
happens. The production of this three song demo is muddy at best and
unlistenable at worst. The vocals and samples really need to be louder
in the mix to avoid having them sound like background noise. Even though the
lyrics are all in English, you cannot understand a single word due to all of
the filtering and alteration. While the music shows signs of inherent
skill and endless potential, Frontrunner could certainly benefit from a
professional studio and an accomplished engineer to clean up the grittiness of
their music before sending out more demos to labels.
