COP International has built it's reputation on the high quality design and
layout of album covers, the diversity of musical talent, and the use of
labelmates on other musicians albums. Deathline International's new album
"Zarathoustra" is by no means an exception to the rule. They even go as far as
to cover 'Tainted Love' by Gloria Jones which was made popular by the Soft Cell
and Coil versions. The guest list who aided in the production of the album from
the ground up to final mixing is far too long to list here but let it be said
there is almost no other band on the COP label that didn't help out to some
extent. In essence Deathline International has become a truly global prescence
with this new album. Musically the album walks across multiple electronic
styles and is difficult to firmly place into one genre. At times the guitar
crossover elements are present, at others dance remixes of older tracks add new
insight to the music, and multilingual lyrics give more emphasis on the
international flavor of the music. Fan of all forms of industrial music should
find something addicting on this album as Deathline International refused to be
constrained within the fragile shell of a particular genre and instead prefer
to utilize elements of all of them.
