This Merzbow album is the second in the series of Music for Bondage Performances. As a result is includes material much in the same vein as the it's predecessor, a collection of new material along with material previously released only on Japansese bondage CD-ROM's. Both sets of material are very different from the usual collection of raw black noise and feedback of which Masami Akita is so very fond. Instead the tracks are indeed very listenable even to a lay person unfamiliar with previous Merboz material. There is great deal more focus on layered percussion and pitchshifting rather than the jarring rush of feedback. As a result this is probably one of my favorite Merzbow releases because it can actually be listened to in background while performing other tasks without it becoming a nuisance or an earsore rather quickly with is a definite bonus.

Merzbow is: Masami Akita
