Oddly enough, COP International Records has chosen to release a second volume of
their Electronic Challenge compilation. Unfortunately this sampler only serves
a single purpose, to entice first time listeners to the Electro-Industrial
genre. Anyone who has any experience with this music already would have
acquired all of the tracks present here years ago. Regardless of the age of
some of the tracks, it is a very diverse Electro sampler. Most of the big name
acts from the last decade and a half are present as well as a few of the less
well known acts. The surprise track of the compilation would definitely be
yelworC's 'Blood in Face', the single track that is only available via import
from Celtic Circle Records. Not that bad of a compilation, but one wonders why
anyone would bother to release a collection of songs that can all be found
elsewhere?
