Released on the new Irislight subsidiary label reLIGHT, "Flush" is a reissue of
several rare water based compositions by Aube. The first two tracks are from
the 1991 "Spindrift" cassette which is long out of print. Each track is over
twenty minutes. The first focuses on subtle undertones and minimal drones and
the second on thunderous rolls and tumultuous crashing. The two tracks from the
"Aquatremble" 7 inch are both just as raucous and caustic, but much shorter in
length. The final track is from a unreleased live performance in Osaka, Japan
in 1992. 'Water Live 1992' meanders across all variations of sonic abuse from
the placid solitude of an idle lake to roaring blasts of a hurricane induced
tsunami. "Flush" is an excellent example of Akifumi Nakajima's manipulations of
the simplistic compound that allows life to flourish on our planet.
